What matters to us
We see ourselves as a family practice. We extend the same warmth, compassion and understanding to you as we would our own family.
We place a big emphasis on:
✓ Informing you – providing you with information so that you can make informed choices.
✓ Partnership – working together with you – your body, your birth, your health, your choices – our support, expertise and guidance.
✓ Approachable – it is important to us that you feel calm, safe and at ease.
Who we are
Dr Malcolm Godfrey
MBBS, FRANZCOG
Malcolm completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney before moving to Newcastle where he finished his training as a gynaecologist and obstetrician. He works as a consultant in the John Hunter Hospital where he keeps current with the latest developments and trains the next generation of gynaecologists and obstetricians in Newcastle.
He grew up on the Central Coast NSW and was drawn by the friendliness and community feel of the Hunter region. He has happily settled here with his wife Victoria and their three beautiful children.
“Time with my family is the most important thing to me.”
Malcolm loves his running and can often be seen along the shores of Lake Macquarie, or spending time at the beach.
Chloe Boutillier
Practice Manager
Joining our practice in 2020 Chloe is the first face you’ll see on arrival to our rooms, her friendly, down to earth nature will help you feel comfortable and welcome. Chloe brings to the role a strong skill set with qualifications in medical and business administration as well as a genuine love of organisation which helps the office run smoothly. Getting to know all of our patients is the highlight of Chloe’s role and she enjoys following the pregnancy journeys too.
Outside of the office Chloe loves to spend time with her partner and loved ones, keeping fit, enjoying Newcastle’s beautiful beaches, trying out new recipes, hosting dinner parties, and welcoming new experiences. Chloe also has some creative talents; she spent 11 years working as hairdresser and is a qualified interior design.
"I feel genuinely captivated by my role here in the practice. I find it compelling and count it as a privilege to be a part of the exciting pregnancy journey for so many who are lucky enough to experience this"
Chloe is here to help you with any questions you may have. Even if you think of something outside of your appointment, please don’t hesitate to ask Chloe who can follow-up with Dr Godfrey if required.
Victoria Godfrey
Accounts Manager, Part-time Reception
Victoria has been working behind the scenes since Malcolm started his practice. Now their three children are in school she enjoys being in the office part time and managing the accounts side of the practice.
Getting to know the patients and helping them along their journeys is Victoria’s favourite part of her role. With a background in office management in small businesses Victoria is used to dealing with a variety of requests and tasks. Victoria loves helping our patients with any query.
“I love meeting our patients and answering their questions. Everyone's experiences are so different, it's really satisfying to be a small part of people's journeys.”
Away from the office Victoria loves hanging out with her family, reading (when she can steal a moment to herself), dabbling in yoga, and running.

Outside the office Natalie enjoys spending time with her family, she is a Mum to two boys and a daughter. She loves attending live music and theatre shows, as well as getting to experience all the lovely places that Australia has to offer. Whenever she can she likes to visit her family in Scotland.
